5 Luxurious "Homes from Home" in London

Updated: Jun 24, 2021

Despite predominantly working with private and corporate clients for our bespoke, intimate theatre productions  - we are always on the lookout for beautiful, public domestic settings to partner with either for ticketed events or to suggest to our clients who want a home away from home for their private performance. Below is a list of some of our favourites, either recently performed in or to be performed in, we hope, in the near future.

The outside of Hello Darling, a restaurant in Waterloo with 1950s style retro typeface in front of a blue exterior

Opening in May this year - from the beautiful imagination of theatrical set designers Darling & Edge comes a new restaurant: Hello Darling, equal parts intimate supper-club and minds-&-mouth-open cocktail bar. The restaurant will serve a seasonal menu from Masterchef winner Natalie Coleman and upstairs there is a selection of individual rooms for private hire including the library, master bedroom and bathroom. Such a fun and unique concept, stunningly brought to life.

A truly luxurious private members club hosting several bars, meeting spaces, restaurants and bespoke bedrooms. They have played host to many of our private theatre performances over the last few years and it has been a pleasure getting to perform in such opulent settings. Well worth a look if you want somewhere truly unique to hide away in Central London.

A home from home in a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse in the heart of Soho. The club exists to bring together a community of people who are invested in creating a fair and equal society, whilst breaking the cycle of homelessness through their integrated Employment Academy. Another club that have been host to many Revels performances over the years, they offer an affordable membership fee, stunning garden and array of rooms for meetings or to tuck away with a laptop. Check out their private chapel for something really special!

With the tagline 'Our House, Your party' what isn't there to like about the Fulham based super club and bar. Their dinner parties and Sunday roasts truly feel like the best that home-cooking and comforts can offer (complete with party games if the mood is right). Well worth a visit.

LAYLOW is a house located on Golborne road in the heart of West London.  Designed by Bella Freud, Nicholas Kilner and Taz the space is spread across 4 floors and it boasts a restaurant with outdoor seating, a live music venue with performances 4 nights a week, a lounge and a private dining with its own roof top terrace.  A really fun and unique place to spend an evening, and also a proper celeb-spotting joint.
